Rather than pick your bridesmaids dresses—one-style-fits-all— give your gal-pals a choice. Select your spring color palette (perhaps from your bouquet) along with acceptable fabrics, ornamentation and lengths. Send each bridesmaid a packet of colors and fabrics and photos of styles you like. Then let them have at it. Question about a style? Have your fair maidens shoot you a pic from their cell phone.
‘Tis the season to shake off the winter willies with a punch of popping color. Greener-than-grass greens, true-lip reds, beaming blues, bumble-bee yellows for the bridesmaids and the decor. With and basket full of incandescent colors, the bride must stand out, however, perhaps in glowing white, white that telegraphs, “It’s all about me.” On the reception tables, the linens can be matched or not; go ahead splash on different patterns in your new spring palette. And fill up the tables with fresh floral that says “Spring had sprung.” The just-picked look is lovely with Gerber dailies, lilies and draping lilacs. Wildflowers also make a simply sensational statement with a breezy chiffon over-skirted wedding gown dancing in the delightful fragrances of the season!
